Chris Jakubin joined our team of instructors here at the Academy in 2008. He is a 20 year retired veteran of the United States Air Force Military Working Dog program. Beginning his career as a dog trainer/handler, he completed two tours at Lackland AFB Military Working Dog Training School. While at Lackland, Chris was in charge of the entire Department of Defense patrol training section.
In 2002 Chris became the first kennel master at the United States Air Force Academy Colorado. Although retired from the Air Force Chris continues his career in the Police Dog field at the United States Air Force Academy as a civilian kennel master and trainer. Chris has been working with police dogs for over 22 years. He completed a 100 hour trailing dog instructors course and a certifying officials class with the Canine Training Academy during 2006, 2007 and 2008. He continues his training by working regularly under our team of instructors here in Colorado. Chris has many years of experience working with and teaching students and is an incredible problem solver. He is an awesome addition to our team.
