Prices for Hotels may be seasonal and are subject to change. All dogs must be in crates while in Hotels. We recommend that you book your room accommodations at the Best Western and tell them you are with the Canine Training Academy.

If you wish to share a room with another student we will supply the names of others who wish to double up. If you have any questions or need assistance with accommodations please call us.

Campgrounds are available and are 8-10 miles from Canon City. About a 15 minute drive from classroom and daily meeting areas.

Airport Information

Colorado Spring Municipal Airport is about a 1 hour drive to the Canon City area. We recommend you fly into Colorado Springs.

Denver International Airport is a 2 1/2 hour drive to the Canon City Area.

Rental cars are available at both Airports. The Academy cannot provide transportation for student to and from airports or training areas. Teams flying in for classes must provide their own transportation and crates for their dogs.

Training Location

Canon City is located approximately 40 miles SW of Colorado Springs and 125 miles South of Denver. The climate is usually warm and dry with possible rain showers in the afternoons during class seasons. Evenings are cooler.

Continue on Milton E Proby to Academy Blvd. Turn left (South) on Academy Blvd (CO-83).

Continue to follow SE Academy Blvd 3.9 mi. Exit on the left onto S. CO-115 and continue 29.5 mi.

When you come to Penrose, take the ramp onto US-50 W. and contiune for approximatey 11 miles. Barrymore will be on the right off US-50 as you come into Canon City..
